See below the press release from the shíshálh Nation regarding Our House of Clans, the breakthrough affordable housing & reconciliation initiative in Sechelt, on the Sunshine Coast, that demonstrates the enormous potential of working in partnership to solve affordable housing issues among First Nations in British Columbia.
The shíshálh Nation, led by Tsain-Ko Development Corporation, have worked tirelessly over the past two years together with BC Housing and local partners to develop the funding, vision and plans for this critical housing project, named Our House Of Clans. With the project now preparing to break ground, we will be planning a land blessing ceremony later this month with Nation dignitaries, our project partners, and the syiyaya Reconciliation Movement.
