As the economic development arm of the shíshálh Nation, Tsain-Ko Development Corporation (“TKDC”) can provide certain levels of mentoring and coaching support for shíshálh Nation members looking to establish a new business, expand or acquire an existing business, implement a marketing plan, or seek different sources of funding.
Subject to availability of resources and timing, TKDC can provide the following support on an in-kind basis:
Focused on your proposed business venture, TKDC can assist with conducting a feasibility study to help determine the viability of your idea before proceeding.
TKDC can provide mentorship as you prepare your business plan, a written document that describes in detail how your new business is going to achieve its goals. This process involves detailed research into your plans from a financial, operational and marketing perspective.
There are many sources of funding available to entrepreneurs and start-ups. TKDC can assist with identifying opportunities as well as coaching through the application process. Often times, feasibility studies and business plans will form part of your grant proposal.
Important: Please note that the above consulting services do not represent that TKDC will research, prepare, or write these documents on your behalf. While TKDC can provide certain templates to assist, the support available is considered mentoring and capacity building.
